History of King Solomon Lodge #21

In October 2003, while working under another jurisdiction and being displeased in the direction of that Grand Lodge's teachings and leadership, Bro. Walker, Bro. White and Bro. Carpenter met with the Grandmaster of The Most Worshipful St. James Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M. State of Illinois, The Illustrious Thomas Lawrence, 33 and his senior staff. Bro. Walker and his senior officers observed that The Most Worshipful St. James Grand Lodge adhered to the ancient landmarks, traditions and teachings of ancient craft masonry. Impressed by the professionalism, organization and structure of the Most Worshipful St. James Grand Lodge we inquired into becoming members of this Grand Body. The Members of The Most Worshipful St. James Grand Lodge extended their hand of friendship and brotherly love, at which time on November 3, 2004 The ILL. Thomas Lawrence granted our lodge dispensation, which allowed our lodge to form and work as A.F. & A.M. Masons. On December 13, 2003 our lodge was styled as King Solomon #21 and granted a Charter from The Most Worshipful St. James Grand Lodge, naming Bro. James Walker as it's first Worshipful Master, Bro. Jerome White it's first Senior Warden and Bro. Jeffrey Carpenter as it's first Junior Warden.

On October 2, 2006 Brother Lee Neal was elected as Worshipful Master of King Solomon Lodge #21. Brother Neal has perservered and progressed to keep the traditions and standards of Ancient craft masonry in the hearts and minds of his brothers.
